Just change your proxy from viperbb . rocks to vipergirls . to in VRipper settings as seen below:

And log-out from viperbb . rocks on your browser and login to vipergirls . to domain. Copy the link again and add to VRipper.

A couple of months ago, CMM and I discovered (after some initial confusion) that this "domain rewriting" also occurs in PM conversations.

This can make things really difficult, especially when the discussion is actually about all the various VG domains (which ours was).

I downloaded the newest version (to resolve an imagebam issue) and all's good, except I miss the opportunity to rename all posts within a thread to alternate title.
With v3.5.4 you had the option to select them all and bulk rename to alternate title (if there was one), like you're downloading a thread from studio X, and you could rename all the posts to the model name/set name, for example, and they're easier to sort out later of course. This was immediately possible from the front interface via the button "Rename selected to first alternative title", so you didn't even need to dig around.

At first glance with the newest version, I see you can still rename to an alternate title if one is given, but you have to do it one by one by Right Click on the Path and select Rename. So if the thread has like 700 posts and there is indeed an alternate title for each available (e.g. model name etc), it takes ages.
Furthermore, maybe it's just me, but I've tried it twice and I can rename one by one for the first few, and then it stopped finding alternate title so I had to delete the thread and then load it again and then it worked with manual renaming for a few more (until it didn't).
Otherwise you can do it manually 1-by-1 later, but I have to "append post ID to download folder" otherwise they all have the same name and all images will download into the same folder.
I keep using VRipper 3.5.4 because of that multi-rename button and also 3.5.4 handles multi-post links better.

The filter/select field in Threads, select posts in VRipper 5.5.0 does not seem to do anything. I just get loading whenever I enter anything in it.
The renaming is too clunky. Right click then click on arrow to find alternate title which many times is not in the list even though the general info tab shows more titles.
The renaming in 5.5.0 does make entering titles manually easy.

    Re: VRipper (Cross-platform Gallery Ripper)

    Hello all,
Im getting a 429 error, and the log shows a problem accessing a file that no longer exists.
How does VRipper handle downloading entire threads where some of the posts no longer have images? Is there something I need to configure on my end?
    Thanks.

I tried the solution of the link above this but when I do appears this message:

    Not connected: Possible security issue

Firefox has detected a potential security threat and has not continued to viper.to because this website requires a secure connection.

what can you do about it?

viper.to has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You cannot add an exception to visit this site.

The problem is probably with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it.

If you are on a corporate network or using antivirus, you can contact the support team for help. You can also report the problem to the website administrator.

    Thanks

You can lower concurrent connections to Vipergirls.

I asked site administrator V and this is his reply:

Solution: fewer concurrent connections or add a one second pause between big ripping jobs - but that's something app developers need to implement. Disabling the leaving of likes reduces the number of requests performed by a whopping 50%.

You are trying to connect to Vipergirls on an insecure connection.

Solution: none. It's a security policy. In practice: don't try to access or force a connection on regular HTTP (without the S).
Possible solution: Open Firefox settings, switch to "Privacy & Security" tab, select "Enable HTTPS-Only mode in all windows"

You are experiencing problems because you are in France and your government blocked Vipergirls --> https://vipervault.link/threads/100079...le-from-France

Your ISP is redirecting Vipergirls connections to https://77.159.252.152 which belongs to your ISP (Societe Francaise Du Radiotelephone - S.f.r) which shows this page:

Try using a VPN or apply the alternatives discussed here --> https://vipervault.link/threads/100079...le-from-France

Thank you Roger33 for your reply but i'm already using a VPN and i changed DNS (i chose the Google DNS). My problem is not to connect Vipergirls (all the alias work), but only use Vripper. One day it's OK, one day not. Can you tell me why ?
    Thanks

I asked site administrator V and this is his reply:
Thanks so much for following up on this! I appreciate it very much. Lowered connections and no more errors.
    Cheers and thanks again

    Re: VRipper (Cross-platform Gallery Ripper)

The site is only accessible via vpn.
Without vpn i see such massage 504 - Gateway Timeout . Thatā€™s an error.
We did not receive a timely response from the upstream server. Thatā€™s all we know.

I can use mirrors without vpn, but it doesn't download even when the proxy server is changed. What can be done?
    Version Vripper 5.5.0

    Re: VRipper (Cross-platform Gallery Ripper)

    Important Note About Proxies
The use of proxies within VRipper is worthless, please stop using them, I am seeing multiple people posting about of 403 error code when using proxies.
403 is a response code coming from Cloudflare to block VRipper from accessing the site, cloudfalre is doing the job it is supposed to do, which is blocking automated requests from accessing the site.
I already explained this in the requirements, but it seems like no one is reading it, the admin decided to put the proxies behind Cloudflare, I can't do anything about it.
I don't think the proxy settings is working for anyone, consider this feature in VRipper as Broken. I will not reply about proxy issues anymore.

    FAQ:
My ISP is blocking access to vipergirls and its proxies, can VRipper work in this case ?
No of course, VRipper cannot connect to the site magically if it's blocked.

My ISP is blocking access to vipergirls main site, but i can access some proxies, can VRipper work if i change the proxy settings ?
No, consider the proxies feature non existent in VRipper (read the note about proxies above)

My ISP is blocking access to vipergirls main site, when using a VPN I can access vipergirls main site, can VRipper work?
    Yes

My ISP is blocking access to vipergirls main site, when using a VPN I can access vipergirls proxies but not the main vipergirls site, can VRipper work?
    No, I explained why previously

I can access vipergirls main site and all of the proxies, can i use a proxy instead of the main vipergirls site in VRipper
    No

What option should i choose for proxy in VRipper
vipergirls .to, anything else is broken

You said that VRipper does not work with proxies, but it is working for me without problem, why are you saying it does not work ?
The day it stops working don't ask why it's not working anymore (read the proxies note above).

The above is added in the first post
